Greenvale Tree Company's owner, Steve Franzmann has been an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist since 1992. Today, Steve has trained dozens of amazing arborists, sharing every detail and technique that has made Greenvale Tree Co. an important neighbor in every Central Coast community.  Every team member takes great pride in the work we provide. Serving all of the San Luis Obispo County, our team services both residential and commercial accounts and also offers year round emergency tree service. What is a Certified Arborist?

Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care through experience and by passing a comprehensive examination developed by the nation’s leading experts on tree care. The Certified Arborist examination covers tree biology, tree identification and selection, tree-soil-water relations, tree nutrition and fertilization, tree planting and establishment, pruning concepts and techniques, cabling, bracing and lightning protection, problem diagnosis and management, tree preservation on construction sites, climbing and safe work practices, and tree risk assessment. Certified Arborists must also continue their education to maintain their certification and are therefore up to date on the latest techniques in arboriculture.
